This is how I described my first experience here in August:
Imagine you’re a house + your roof is sagging. You go to your conventional doctor and they poke around and eventually tell you the problem is dry rot in the attic timbers. To “fix” it they send someone with a big truck of chemicals (or if you went to a naturopath, herbal based fungicide) who sprays the poison on the beams and Voila! Dry rot arrested. Only then you’re breathing all this toxic air. And eventually the dry rot starts creeping again. And your sagging roof stayed sagging. Or they send someone to cut out the dry rotted sections and prop up the roof. So you feel better for awhile (after you recover) but a couple years later more sagging roof and new areas of dry rot.’
At Hansa, they look all over and say – ‘Hey, there’s a leak over here. If we don’t stop the water from coming in we’ll never successfully get the dry rot under control.’ They are the only physicians I know who truly practice foundational medicine.

Much of my sickness has been stress related and fatique from taking on the sorrows and needs of others - a constant giver, parital care giver, mother, homeschool, community involvement, I found also the lyme bacteria and yeast would get alziemer's worse with lack of care of ME.
Since I am a Christian and seek to listen to God's voice, direction in my life, I was praying over my day and sensed that gentle voice say "you forgot about YOU, taking care of your health". Apparently, in order to do the next thing, there was something I needed to do to refresh my body. I came across info on Somerleyten Clinic (old name for Hansa). I called and got right in - even though I was asking about recommendations for a place in KC I ended up coming to Hansa.
God gave me much info about healing. One thing He showed me was negative/angry words or any kind of hate CHANGES the DNA in your body to conform with the thought and we can get sick - while loving words, good thoughts, do opposite.
I saw myself, then, as a deflector of the world's negativity. Here I was, full of God's Light and Love (once I confessed, came back to trusting His words about me and asked Him to fill me again - all forgiveness to those who did me wrong) - Like a metal dish in my hands, as the negative words, thoughts come by way, God's powerful Light, Love are like a deflector dish, reflecting it off the shiney shield in front of me back to them - in love.

I can't express enough how thankful I am for the Hansa Clinic. Dr. Jernigan and his staff are outstanding at what they do.
I had chronic lyme for over 20 years and suffered excruciating pain and fatigue. I went all over the county to different lyme "specialists".
I never got any better or sometimes I felt worse. Needless to say I was very skeptical to try anything new.
I am so blessed because the first day at Hansa my pain basically disappeared. I really was shocked. I now feel like a whole new person. My fatigue has been reduced as well. This was the most wondeful life altering experience and my husband and I are so glad we made the decision to come here.

I was told by a doctor, who said he graduated at the top of his class in Rheumatology, that he was sure without a doubt I had Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. When I debated him about having Lyme being the cause of my symptoms, he discharged me from his care since "I seemed to be convinced I had an infection.", stating there was nothing more he could do for me. The office staff of Hansa Center has a very strong significance in the
healing of the clinic's patients. You as the staff may be a stronger part
of the healing team than what you realize. Social research confirms over and
over the fact that when a new person enters a place of business, church,
clinic, etc., that the first three minutes sets their impression of that
place. This dynamic is especially important when the new person is sick and
hurting. The disease and pain make them feel fragile and desperate.
At Hansa Center place of healing, they are greeted by people who sincerely care. Welcome, warmth and hope are communicated. The reception is like cool rain on a hot, dry desert of disease. Hope and faith is sparked. The patient immediately feels, "…at last I am in an atmosphere of healing…here I am not seen as just another number…here I will receive the help I have been searching for."
Actually, the Hansa Center staff sets the atmosphere for healing for Doctors David and Samantha. They work under the Lord to minister healing that first began when someone first heard, "Hello, we are so glad you are here! We care about you here. What can I do today for you as you begin your road to recovery?" Say team, you are of great value!

I remember very clearly watching the doctors cross the stage for their
diploma when my cousin graduated from medical school. It seemed you could
tell so much about them just by that short walk. Some appeared arrogant and
cold, the ones that are in it for the money. Others like my cousin were

visit to your clinic was certainly an answer to prayer, many prayers—if I

I am thankful for light you shed on my health problems and all the treatments, remedies, etc. administered. Over the years I've been to many doctors and chiropractors, but I've never seen any one with all the gifts and talents, wisdom, equipment, etc. that you have there. Truly God has blessed you with special gifts and knowledge. May He continue to grant your prayer request for Wisdom, for He alone can give it. I can see that He is both blessing you and using you for His glory and the help of many afflicted people. It is wonderful to hear how you all function together there looking to God for His blessing. this has been quite the healing adventure—and I've been on several of these

You have truly given me my life back. Being a recovering drug addict and
alcoholic, I believe God didn't save my life to live a sick life. The last
5 years I was dying a very fast death of upper respiratory infections every
2-3 weeks which mean antibiotics and prednisone, allergic shots for 2
years…sinus surgery and getting sicker and sicker. I was so tired of being
sick. My husband and I have been blessed with 2 wonderful children after I
had a tubal pregnancy, which means one tube gone. My oldest, who is six,
tubes in ears, adenoids out. Dr. David fixed ear infections in one visit! I
am so very thankful to you guys, I really believe God sent you here for me.
You guys are my "Angels." Please don't ever leave me and my family. Loads

Thanks, I was told by a specialist in ear, nose, and throat that I had a
deviated septum and wanted to operate. If I stayed on antibiotics, all the
time I could breathe, but he wanted to operate. I didn't wish to be
operated on or keep taking lots of medicines.
I will always have the deviated septum because I was born with it, but I can now breathe through both nostrils after seeing Dr. Jernigan.

This is the second time recently I have been under necessity to make my own
stationery since there is not a card to be found in Wichita that could
describe what I feel. A mere thank you is far from substantial…there are
just some times when words stop woefully short, while your feelings go on
and on. This is one of those times.
My gratitude for having saved my life, and we both know you did, with our Father's help, is soul deep. I remember once reading the biography of Helen Keller's teacher, Anne Sullivan I think. She wrote about coming down the stairs on the first Christmas she was with the Kellers, having "civilized" their wild Helen. She met (on the landing) Helen's father. He wrung her hand with such deep, eternal gratefulness it still brings tears to my eyes. He opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out. His silence was more eloquent than words. She wrote it much more poignantly than I can remember or relate.
Please accept my lack of ability to adequately express myself as to the profound debt of gratitude that swells up in my heart, into my throat, causing tears to flood my eyes, when I think of all you've done to help me.
You carefully cared for not only my body but my heart and spirit with such tender care, TLC and you gave the same to all in your care.
You remind me of Numbers 12:3. It says Moses was by far the meekest man on the earth. At 14:11 Jehovah is fed up with the Israelites, wanting to wipe them out and make Moses the father of a new nation. He declined, worrying about what enemy nations would think vs. 14-16.
I've never heard you take credit for your truly wonderful if not miraculous gift of help and healing. "This is God's house. I just work here…" You are my lifeline to good health.

This is a long wonderful story of the healing of D--, my husband. I will
try to condense it down. We belong to the 700 Club. Sept. 16-20 was their
prayer revival. I sent in a request to D—'s healing of bowel and bladder
incontinence. The following Monday morning, I somehow knew to call a
doctor…I hadn't the vaguest idea of what to look under in the phonebook, and
found nothing. I never thought to look under chiropractic. I have never
called the Chamber of Commerce before, but it came so natural. The
receptionist that answered the phone spent at the very least 5 minutes in
trying to find such a person. Finally, she said she'd give me the name of
the doctor that she sees. She could not give me that name right off as it
would show favoritism of one company/business over another. Now what are
the chances that (in a city of 300,000) such a person would answer the
phone?
I called Dr. Jernigan right away and D-- could get in that same morning. When God decides to help, He doesn't waste any time! D—has been incontinent for 11-12 years, with being in diapers full time for about the past 6 years. I won't elaborate on the horror stories he went through.
He saw some of the most prestigious specialists in Southern California. He received a letter from the Mayo Clinic stating they couldn't help him. Some of the doctors said that if his nerves kept dying, he could end up in a wheelchair.
Dr. Jernigan found the "blown circuit" right away. He started him on herbs from Columbia and within a few days he was starting to have some feeling and control and by the end of that week he was about 90% better. He's had one set back since then but the doctor got him back on track right away. He has to do a lot of exercises because many of his muscles haven't been used for many years.
So we owe a big thank you to God and the Jernigans. God knows how happy we are and I think the Jernigans know also. Thank you and God Bless.

I heard of Dr. Dave through a co-worker who had seen him due to back and leg
pain. He said his pain was gone after several attempts to get help. I
thought this would be good for my husband because of his persistent back
pain. I made an appointment for my husband and went with him in December of
1996. While we were there Dr. Dave asked if he could do anything for me and
I responded that I have colon problems and allergies. He asked if he could
make it so that I would no longer need to take shots for my allergies would
I be happy, and I told him that I felt my colon problem was worse. I was
told 10 years ago that my abdominal pain was from inflammation of my colon.
I was also told that a sulfur would fix this problem but I was allergic to
it and was unable to take it. My only choice was to limit dairy products
and chocolate in my diet. Dr. Dave helped me by getting ride of the
parasites he said were in my colon that caused the inflammation and after 2
weeks of treatment I was able to eat and drink anything I wanted. I have
not needed an allergy shot since my first treatment and only occasionally
come in for treatment because of my allergies. My husband's back is better;
unfortunately, his activities cause him to still have pain from time to
time.

I would like to thank you for all you have done for me and my little
girl. Words
cannot express how grateful we are to you both. I would like to share our
stories with others so they may be helped as well. Here goes…
When my little J-- was 9 months old she began walking. Being wobbly at first, she moved on to many objects. One day while she was walking she fell, began to cry and then passed out. She as white as a sheet and her lips began to turn blue. It scared me to death! After getting her to come around, she acted fine. My sister-in-law (who is a nurse) witnessed the episode and assured me she just held her breath. Don't worry, I was told!
J-- continued this pattern for several months. She would fall, cry and then pass out. We went to 3 or 4 doctors, including a pediatrician who referred us to a neurologist. They all did numerous tests, but could find nothing wrong. Once again we were told not to worry. Almost a year had gone by and J-- was still passing out.
By chance or miracle we met Dr. David. Dr. David was more than happy to look at little J-- and quickly began to help her. After just a few treatments, J—has not passed out again! She is a very active and vibrant child. Almost a year has gone by since we first met Dr. David and J—is doing great! Thanks again for everything!
While treating J--, Dr. David noticed I had many problems as well. He assured me he could help me also. Here is my story.
After the birth of my 4th child, at age 28, I was stricken with arthritis. The pain came on gradually, started in my knees and quickly spread to my hands, elbows, feet, ankles and shoulders.
Several years went by, some better than others. Then I met Dr. David. When I first went for a treatment, my pain was so severe at night I could hardly pull the covers on myself. My night and mornings were very hard. By this time, I now have 5 children. Life was very difficult doing all that was involved in raising children.
I started receiving treatments and after a short while began feeling better. After a few months Dr. David has completely made my pain disappear. Almost a year has gone by since our first meeting. I am feeling like a new person. I can once again enjoy playing sports with my children and not be in tremendous pain. I am doing so many activities, without hurting, that I have not been able to do in several years. Thanks again for taking time to help and care about me. You are great and will always hold a special place in our hearts. We love and thank you for everything.

I am writing to let people know what a wonderful doctor Dr. Jernigan is!
I am 89 years old and a year ago, when going upstairs, I stubbed my toe. I thought it was broken but fortunately it wasn't. Shortly after this happened, my ankles began swelling and hurting, for no apparent reason. I went to at least six medical doctors and a couple of chiropractors. None of them knew what the matter was. One of them did tell me it was arthritis and there was nothing that could be done for it but go home and take Tylenol. It kept getting worse until both feet, legs and knees were swollen tight and hurting when I walked. I used a walker for some time and finally resorted to a wheelchair.
Then fortunately, I found out about Dr. Jernigan and the Hansa Center. I went to him immediately. He treated me for 8 days and I was able to walk without my wheelchair or walker and have ever since! What a blessing!!!
So I am singing his praises and recommend him highly to anyone who has * anything* wrong with them, as he treats the *whole body*—not just the symptoms. As a result, my heart improved and my kidneys even became normal (I had been having to go to the bathroom at least once in the middle of every night).
So you see why I can't recommend him enough. He is truly my saint! If you are ill, in any way, I would say the sooner you can get to him the sooner you will be well and enjoying life again!

Who says you can't have pain free life over 55? I just wanted to let you
know I feel great. Your work of about 8 visits has done more for me than 5
years of regular doctoring. I fought my shoulder pain for at least 5 years
thinking I had arthritis, sometimes unable to raise them above my head. Now
I can do about anything I used to, even pull a 50lb. bow back. Now I can
get back in archery.
I just wanted you to know that I am pain free and the liver and throat problems I believe are solved.

This week I received more than just a package. I received a surprise beyond
anything I expected. It is rare that I am speechless but I was. I just
stood there reading J's note over and over. This has been a really
difficult time for me. When you're normally incredibly active, think
nothing of taking on multiple tasks, and enjoy going and doing, my
energy-imposed slow down has hit hard. Add to that the financial strains of
the past few months and, wow, you get the idea.
There is nothing I can say or do now to repay your kindness. Please know, however, that when you least expect it, I will do my best to do exactly that. I'm not sure how but your kindness has not gone unnoticed and will not go unpaid in some form…take care, and again, thank you for your thoughtfulness. I think you will understand that I had a 24 hour delay in beginning to take the medications because every time I picked up one of the containers my eyes filled up and my throat closed. I was truly moved by your generosity.

have always had such sadness when ever I would hear of another parent being
told to administer this addictive drug to their child, it would just make me
sick.
In this day and time doctors and teachers use this drug like it was orange juice and your kid needed more vitamin C. When will we learn that doctors and teachers do not know everything? Our children are crying for someone who cares about them.
Television and computers are robbing children of their parents and grandparents. They need God in their lives first and then they need quality time 24 hours, 7 days a week, all year long for the rest of their childhood. I will tell anyone, no matter how bad it hurts…your child needs you. Not a sedative. Let that child play until it gets tired, with some discipline, love and hands on guidance this child will survive, and so will the parent.

Our daughter, Kayla, is 23 years old. When she was around 13, she began
experiencing anxiety and some signs of depression. We did what we thought
was the responsible thing to do, and took her for counseling. The counselor
recommended a psychiatrist, and that began eight years of more than 15
medications, including: anti-depressants, anti-psychotics, mood stabilizers,
etc. Kayla ended up with a diagnosis of "major depressive disorder,"
"bi-polar disorder," and, most recently, "schizo-affective
disorder"--whatever that is! Kayla struggled greatly during those years and
we felt we had lost our daughter.
Approximately a year ago, we began to realize we had nothing to lose and decided to try an "alternative" approach and see how Kayla would be off all medications. We had no idea how difficult a task that would be. We quickly learned that psychiatrists really do not have a clue how slowly a patient needs to withdraw from these powerful drugs.
Last April, as we were reducing the dosage of the two drugs Kayla was taking at the time, she suddenly went from sleeping nearly non-stop, to not being able to sleep for 10 days straight. By this time, she was completely psychotic and we were desperately trying to keep her safe and out of the hospital, where we knew they would only give her more medication and release her back to us in a few days. It was during this time that a friend mentioned the Hansa Center and Dr. Jernigan.
We were willing to try anything, but knew that Kayla was in no condition to go to a center--she was requiring 24-hour care. We explained this to the receptionist, stating, "We're in crisis. What can you offer?" She had Dr. Jernigan call us that day. I'll never forget my conversation with him. He realized she was in no condition to come to the center, so he offered to send a "care package" of natural remedies to help her sleep. He was supportive in our effort to "reclaim our daughter"--his words, and oh, how I needed to hear them! The supplements worked so well that we were soon able to bring her to the clinic. She saw Dr. Jernigan four times the first week and for a few follow-up visits after that. I am happy beyond words to report that Kayla is a new person. We truly have our daughter back and we have witnessed a miracle. We are eternally grateful to Dr. Jernigan and his work at the Hansa Center. Obviously, we would recommend the center to anyone struggling with a medical problem or anyone who wants to improve their health.

I feel like I have more control over my well-being and less stress now that I'm healthy.
I would recommend the Hansa Center to others. It is a helpful, friendly, comfortable environment to seek help.

Nicoletta writes ...Since beginning treatment here, I will certainly be more active with productive activities as well as more aware of what needs to change in order to relieve and maintain the most optimal health. At an alternative health source (Hansa Center), I have changed the attitude of negatives into positives with help from the two wonderful doctors at the Center.

Andrew L. writes ...Two years have passed since I was struck with an illness that conventional doctors could not diagnose, much less treat, as they impatiently ushered me along a cold assembly line of probing tests and specialist visits. After a frustrating and hopeless struggle, desperation led me halfway across the country to the Hansa Center with little more than hope and an open mind.
If all your health experience has been restricted to the boundaries of traditional medicine as mine was, then to describe the Hansa Center is like describing a sunset to the blind-words invariably fall short. To understand the miraculous work the doctors and staff perform there daily, one must see for themselves, and I can assure you, it will far surpass your expectations. The techniques and treatments I was exposed to, in my opinion, were revolutionary compared to modern medicine's thinking, and were as effective as they were gentle.
The doctors work under a philosophy of empowering patients to be full participants in their own healing and consider perfect health to be a very real, attainable state. They shared all their knowledge with me in an effort to teach as well as heal, and knew me as a person first-a patient second. It was this sense of closeness that created an atmosphere of family among everyone at the clinic and the compassion I felt there aided me in the recovery months that followed. The Hansa Center was able to lend wings to the burdens my disease carried, which was just as powerful as any cure, and is a lesson I will treasure the rest of my life.
While it has been about a year since my last visit to Hansa, rarely does a day go by that my time there doesn't grace my thoughts, that the loving influence of the friends I met there doesn't brighten my day. I feel immensely fortunate to have found the Hansa Center on my path to wellness and hope that if your recovery efforts direct you to their doors, you stop in. It is truly one of God's great little favors to the world.

When I came into your door, I knew that things were going terribly wrong with my body. The week before I came, my heart would chug, and then gallop. I had horrible pains and weakness. I had reached the point that I had to lie down for 2 hours and could get up for only 15 minutes. Headaches were coming and going, leaving me worn out. My body was getting weaker and weaker. I couldn't think straight. It would take me a few minutes to understand and explain a math problem to my 2nd grader. I felt like I was in a perpetual fog. I just wanted to lie down.
My husband tells everyone about the tests and how I was in a fetal position at the end of the day. I just wanted a bed. THEN you started working on me. I don't think I told you that I was laughing and joking with Danny when I walked out. Danny was floored that I could go from the fetal position to up and laughing. I don't know that I was that amazed... I had been praying and knew that I was sent there by our Father in Heaven. I trusted that you and your abilities were a gift. It was amazing, but I knew that I was supposed to see you and that you would help.
I can never tell you how thankful for our Father in Heaven who sent me to you. I am no longer walking around in pain all the time. I can hold my baby's hand without pain in my fingers. For at least 7 or 8 years, I had not been able to put my arms over my head without pain. My husband would have to pull my arms back down by my side. I could not walk up and down the stairs without my knees throbbing in pain. It was funny when we went to a church camp and one of my friends saw me running up some stairs holding my 3 year old. He was so shocked! He asked what had changed.
You helped me discover and heal. I am so amazed at my ability to catch a ball or deflect one. ALL OF MY LIFE I avoided sports because I always got hurt. I would just lose sight of the ball coming towards me and would get hit. (I usually got hit in the face.) OUCH! We went to a soccer game after my third day of treatment, a misdirected ball came my way... and I deflected it and never lost sight of it! I almost cried. My dear, wonderful husband took me and the children to play tennis. I agreed to go, but not play. Within minutes of arriving, I was up and showing the children (I have 4 beauties... 10, 7, 5 and 3) how to hit the ball. I KNEW how to play, but had never been able to really volley the ball. I WAS ABLE TO PLAY! I felt like running and I never lost sight of the ball!
I am still in awe that you were able to help with issues that I have had all of my life. I really thought that you were there to help with the low body temp and body pains and head aches and fuzzy thinking. I never realized that I could have more strength and energy and be able to focus and hit the balls.
About the low body temp. It's kind of funny that I worked for a medical doctor for 8 years about 12 years ago; he told me that some people just have low body temps. My body temp never got above 99.9. When I would be raging sick with the flu or bronchitis, my temp would stay under 100. My children would have temps up to 104, but not me. So, I thought, I wasn't that sick. After I read your book on Lyme Disease, I got to thinking about it and watching my temp. My average temp was 97.2. In the winter it would drop to about 96.5. I was cold all the time and just achy and tired. Now my temp runs 98.6 and I have energy and actually get hot when the weather is hot. My friends ask me where my overshirt is at. (I had gotten in the habit of always wearing a sweater or long sleeved shirt over whatever I was wearing. It is not necessary anymore. God is so great!
I remember when you were testing and treating me that you said that, "You like to dance". I said "I did at one time, not in a while, I am too tired." Well, thank you, Dr. Jernigan. You have given this almost 42 year old woman the energy and desire to dance again. My children and I dance and sing out praises to our King every day.

My husband and I live in Canada and have 3 children, 2 girls, one and a half years apart, and a son 4 years younger. Presently they are 18, 17 and 13 years old. Our priorities from the beginning of our marriage were to raise our children as healthy as possible and to teach them to honor God. Despite all our efforts, however, our middle daughter started to complain about flu-like symptoms more and more frequently. This started around the age of 11. Her headaches became more frequent and debilitating. Improvements in nutrition, water intake, more sleep and exercise, and ensuring her stress level was reasonable did not seem to help. All tests done by the medical doctor came back negative; however, her symptoms became more and more serious.
Over the next 5 years, her pain became chronic and normal activities became impossible. We were pouring all our energies and resources into helping her survive. We no longer could go on outings, have people over, eat meals together, etc. The house had to be absolutely quiet as her hearing became oversensitive and she was using every ounce of energy to cope with her pain.
Because of the constant pain and inability to sleep, she was extremely agitated and spent all her time in her room. By grade 10, going to school was no longer an option. The fear and stress at home was affecting everyone in the family in a profound way. A few months before her 16th birthday, God helped us to get a diagnosis. She was suffering with Lyme Disease. This gave us a lot of hope; however, all suggested treatments over the next year (including high doses of antibiotics) only improved her condition for short periods of time.
We eventually heard about Hansa Center through a lady at our church, who had received a lot of help there. We had learned to rely on God completely. He was teaching us to do battle. Psalm 118:17, "She will not die but live and declare what the Lord has done," became our battle cry. The more desperate her situation became, the more we cried out to God. All medical treatments were no longer effective. We were struggling with the idea of going all the way to Kansas since we had already spent a lot more money than we have to find her help. By November 2006, we felt we had no choice and decided to go, not knowing how we would ever pay back our debts. As soon as we had decided to go, God stepped into the picture in a mighty way. Someone offered their air mile points and a day later we got an anonymous donation covering all the cost of the treatment and travel expenses.
Within 2 weeks of treatments at Hansa Center, just about all our daughter's symptoms had gone away. For the first time in years, we saw this child smile. She was excited to be alive and had plans. I just kept saying to my husband, God is doing a miracle through these treatments. All the promises God had given us had come true.
Our daughter returned to school within weeks of us coming home. Her marks are in the high 90's and she is working on Saturdays. She bikes to work (8km) and works with her hands. Before Hansa Center, we were facing a future of her never being able to go to school or work.
The Second Chapter of this Testimony
Within 2 days of our daughter starting school (her 7th attempt at staying in high school) her 18 year old sister had a serious car accident. She called us on her cell phone trapped in the car. We arrived at the scene the same time as the fire department and ambulance. While it turned out that she only had minor injuries, her dad suffered a stroke while at the accident scene. This happened Saturday night, February 3, 2007.
The enormous support network we had rallied around us through the sickness of our daughter jumped into full force. I am quite sure that on the Sunday morning after my husband's stroke 10 different churches prayed for our family. This gave us great comfort. It was unclear if he would survive the stroke. Despite all this, though, I had learned over the last few years that God can do the impossible. I reminded myself constantly to give thanks, praise, and to proclaim God's word, for those are the weapons against the enemy of our soul. Dr Jernigan's words kept ringing in my head. "Do not allow fear into my heart, just love."
My husband spent 2 weeks in ICU and was sent home after 3 weeks. He had regained most of the use of his right side, but needed close supervision. He had little energy and was very reluctant to make the smallest of decisions. Emotionally he appeared very young, and physically he was more like a man in his 80's. He was easily confused and could no longer pray. Driving was out of the question. In rehab he was making little progress. Everything that he used to do with ease now took enormous effort. Going back to work was unimaginable. I kept giving thanks to the Lord that his kind heart had not changed.
As soon as we received our tax return we decided to go back to Hansa Center. We had seen what a difference the treatments could make. We could only afford to come for a week.
The 22 hour drive took just about everything left out of me. God was gracious and kept the tornadoes half an hour in front of or behind us. We found out that my husband was also positive for Lyme Disease, which might have contributed to his stroke. Within 3 days of treatment, I started to recognize my husband again. His emotional responses were more like the way he was before the stroke. He was able to walk better again and his brain didn't feel "empty" to him anymore. The vagueness in his eyes disappeared and his motivation returned. We had not even realized that he could no longer read maps until we started driving to Kansas. Through Hansa Center, God restored that ability which is essential for him to read blueprints at work. He started to pray again, expressing his thankfulness to God for what he was doing.
Within 2 days of returning home, he was given permission to drive again and immediately drove home from the doctor's office. Plans were made for his return to work and 2 weeks later he was back at work. He even noticed that some of technical things in his job he could do even faster then before. We are thankful to God for the abilities he has given Hansa Center and Dr. Jernigan, and bringing peace back into our home.
